Age rules are activity-specific
Section 303 of the Gambling Act 2003 sets 20 as the threshold for entering or remaining in a casino gambling area and for casino gambling. Section 38 of the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026 requires a licensed online operator to ensure participants are at least 18. Neither rule should be presented as a universal age for every gambling activity.
