Current opening hours

The official venue lists 11am to 1am daily, with Friday and Saturday trading until 2am. It excludes Christmas Day and Good Friday, and closes from 3am to 1pm on Anzac Day. Older third-party 24/7 listings should not be relied on.

Address and contact

SkyCity Queenstown, Level 2, Stratton House, 16-24 Beach Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand. Phone +64 3 441 0400.

Age, ID and carded play

You must be 20 or older to enter the gaming areas. Bring current photo ID. The official page lists passports, NZ or Australian driver licences, an NZ firearms licence and qualifying overseas national identity cards among accepted documents. The venue also requires a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card to play.

Do not assume your ID will be accepted.

If you are travelling with an overseas document, check the current official ID list before you go.

Dress code

The venue requires neat and tidy dress. It lists dirty or damaged clothing, safety or trade clothing, hats or caps without a religious or medical reason, sleeveless tops on men, gang insignia and sunglasses as not permitted. Venue staff retain discretion at entry.

Build a visit around confirmed conditions

A useful casino visit plan is more than an opening-hours lookup. Confirm the Beach Street address, the Level 2 entrance, current photo-ID requirements and any venue-specific dress or access rule with the operator on the day. Separate the legal casino age of 20+ from alcohol-service rules and from the 18+ threshold that applies to other regulated gambling activities.

  • Save the official venue contact rather than relying on a search snippet.
  • Choose the return journey before entering, especially late at night.
  • Set a fixed entertainment limit that excludes accommodation, food and transport money.

If any access, hours or transport detail is unclear, pause the plan and use the linked primary source. A late opening time does not prove that public transport, parking access or every gaming product is available at the same time.

How to use this information

Start with the decision you need to make, then distinguish a stable fact from a live condition. An address or statutory rule may remain stable for years; a timetable, entrance condition, machine configuration or promotional term may change without notice. Follow the primary-source link closest to the claim and check that it describes the same venue, service, product and date.

Keep a simple record of what you checked and when. Do not fill an evidence gap with a directory excerpt, an old screenshot or another publisher’s confidence. Where two official sources differ, use the more specific and current source, describe the conflict, and ask the responsible organisation before relying on it.

Evidence rule: use the linked official source for the live fact, then record the date checked. If the source is unavailable or ambiguous, keep the claim unpublished and list it in Sources and updates.
