Privacy, cookies and analytics

The current static site does not use forms, advertising pixels, analytics cookies, local storage or a remote analytics endpoint.

What the current build does

Interaction names such as route planner, FAQ and responsible-gambling clicks are emitted only as temporary in-page browser events. They are not transmitted, persisted or linked to a person. The hosting provider may still process basic request logs, such as IP address and browser type, to operate and secure the site.

If analytics is connected in future

  • Choose the minimum event fields needed for a documented purpose.
  • Do not send names, email addresses, query strings, gambling behaviour, free text or persistent user identifiers.
  • Document the provider, hosting region, retention period, access controls and deletion process.
  • Complete a New Zealand Privacy Act assessment and consent review before enabling non-essential cookies.

Your choices

No cookie banner is shown because this build sets no non-essential cookies. If that changes, the notice and controls must be updated before collection begins.

Data minimisation by design

The static site does not need an account, gambling profile or payment information. Any future analytics deployment should collect only what is needed to understand page performance and navigation, with retention, access and deletion responsibilities documented before activation.

  • Do not place marketing cookies before valid consent.
  • Never pass health or gambling-help interactions to advertising systems.
  • Review every third-party script, form field and retention period.

The site uses a local in-page event queue and sends no data to a live analytics destination. If that changes, consent and privacy information will be updated first.

How to use this information

Start with the decision you need to make, then distinguish a stable fact from a live condition. An address or statutory rule may remain stable for years; a timetable, entrance condition, machine configuration or promotional term may change without notice. Follow the primary-source link closest to the claim and check that it describes the same venue, service, product and date.

Keep a simple record of what you checked and when. Do not fill an evidence gap with a directory excerpt, an old screenshot or another publisher’s confidence. Where two official sources differ, use the more specific and current source, describe the conflict, and ask the responsible organisation before relying on it.

Evidence rule: use the linked official source for the live fact, then record the date checked. If the source is unavailable or ambiguous, keep the claim unpublished and list it in Sources and updates.
